This dark ale is based on an old style porter which has its roots in 18th century London and has been called the granddaddy of a modern stout. This is a full bodied ale with a lovely smooth, robust roasted edge. Named in homage to Warrnambool’s famous statue, this beer is heavenly to drink. Anyone can have a blonde – why not pick up a dirty angel?
Appearance: Dark Brown to Deep Russet with a tight beige head
Aroma: Roasted Coffee, Toffee, Raisins, Liquorice, Dark Chocolate
Body and Taste: Smooth, rich and mellow. Hints of dark chocolate, espresso, toffee

A hybrid Australian/American pale ale that wants to make a splash. The Whale is a marriage between old world brewing traditions and new world flavour. A mix of Australian and New Zealand hops give this beer its unique hoppy flavour and taste. A very embracing, quaffable and refreshing beer that stands out on its own.
Appearance: Amber with a white frothy head
Aroma: Citrusy, fruity, flowery and malty
Body and Taste: Lots of hoppy flavour with a biscuit, caramel malt aftertaste
Food Pairings: Just about anything – substitute it for white wine.
A traditional Bavarian style hefeweizen (hey-fe-vizen) which for centuries was the sole privilege of the German aristocracy, but thankfully now you can enjoy it too! Our hefeweizen, or wheat beer, is brewed in a wholly authentic way and is uniquely refreshing. It contains 60% wheat and is fermented using a unique strain of wheat beer yeast. In fact we believe you won’t find a better example brewed in Australia.
Appearance: Hazy pale orange in colour, large frothy creamy coloured head

Food Pairings: Pasta and Pizza, Poultry, Rabbit, Seafood, Pretzels! Lady Bay Lager 4.6% a.b.v – Bronze AIBA 2010 – “Other” Lager Packaged, Bronze AIBA 2010 – “Other” Lager Draught
The Lady Bay Lager is a truly continental style lager based on a traditional German Zwickelbier. This lager is brewed in accordance with the 16th Century Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Law) from the finest pilsner malts. The Lady Bay has a liberal dose of Tettnanger hops all the way from Germany. Unfiltered, naturally carbonated and conditioned for months at subzero temperatures – this is the way lager was originally made – which lends it a sensationally smooth taste.
Appearance: Pale yellow straw colour with a white head
Aroma: Malty, flowery, hoppy, slightly spicy
Body and Taste: Light, crisp, balanced malt taste with underlying hop aroma
Food Pairings: Great all rounder – goes especially well with hot and spicy food
The Billy Goat is our very own Bock beer. The Billy Goat is a strong red lager and certainly has a kick to it! Brewed with Munich and Caramel malts and given an extended conditioning time, the Billy Goat is a big beer full of biscuit, caramel and sweet toffee flavours. Coupled with this is the use of Tettnanger and Saaz hops to give it a spicey, fruity aroma. This lager is not your standard Pilsner, it is a different animal altogether!

Aroma: Sweet, spicey, malty, caramel
Body and Taste: Full bodied, smooth, sweet, bitter, robust.
Food Pairings: Steak, Dark chocolate, cheese
Savage Seagull 4.8% a.b.v – Bronze AIBA 2010 – Red Ale Draught
The Savage Seagull may have a wild name but has a much mellower character. A hybrid Celtic ale based on Scottish and Irish beers, a piece of ancient drinking taste is now available. Warm fermented using a special Irish Ale yeast and conditioned at subzero temperatures the Savage Seagull is brimming with flavour and taste but won’t leave the drinker feeling bloated! A unique blend of caramel, biscuit and roasted barleys lend the ‘Gull its distinctive smooth honeyed flavour as well as its auburn colour.
Appearance: Dark tawny auburn with an off white head
Aroma: Malty, toffee, honey and burnt caramel
Body and Taste: Medium bodied, malty, dark honey, biscuity.
Food Pairings: Great all rounder – try with anything!
